James Wesley (Jay) Willis
Mr. Willis is a security specialist for InDev Tactical. He has extensive experience as a security operator,
trainer, and weapons expert. He has participated in security operations in Afghanistan and East Timor as a member
of the US armed forces and as a private security contractor. His professional experience includes counterterrorism,
security operations, and security site management.
Mr. Willis has been a member of the armed forces since 1996, first with the US Marines, and then with the Army
National Guard. He has completed extensive training as a personal security protection specialist, weapons expert,
and member of the military police. During his last tour in Afghanistan, he served as an expert marksman and squad
sharpshooter.
Mr. Willis has worked as a protective services expert for InDev Tactical since 2011. He deployed to Afghanistan
with the Army National Guard in September 2011. After his tour of duty Mr. Willis rejoined InDev’s security
operations and returned to Afghanistan in September 2012 where he served as Senior Security Specialist with
responsibilities for static and dynamic security guard operations, PSD team deployment, route/convoy security,
intelligence monitoring, and operations implementation. He has recently returned from his latest deployment and
is now focusing on US domestic training and skills development for First Responders, Law Enforcement, and Security
personnel.
Stateside he is a principle trainer in shooting skills development, counterterrorism, and nonlethal weapons
instruction. He is an integral part of the InDev Tactical family and true security professional.
Mr. Willis holds certifications in Homeland Security and Counterterrorism and is a certified Nonlethal Weapons
Instructor.
